(Not indicated for 3rd degree burns)
Easy to Apply
Use the powder on moderately to heavily exudative wounds. For initial application, debride the wound bed of slough and necrotic tissue. HYCOL powder can be applied in targeted amounts using the puffer tip. The tip can also be removed for pouring powder into the wound.
Apply powder to the wound bed. The amount applied depends on the wounds depth, size and amount of exudate. Initial application may require more powder than subsequent applications.
Be sure to cover the entire area of the wound bed and wound margin.
Gently push powder into any areas of undermining.
